The historical marginalization of indigenous people, the dogma of stigma, the continued oppression of an entire race of people to the political and social edges of society cannot and must not continue. Telling the story begins the healing. Telling the story also begins the true understanding of a history of both tragedy and triumph.

Whisper n Thunder exists to tell that story, to empower through the expression of uncensored truth. Open and honest discourse will bring transformation; transformation will bring change. Change  for a tomorrow where suicide, substance abuse, depression and isolation are no longer a part of the conversation.

We ask you to become a part of the Whisper n Thunder movement, through your readership, your financial support, and your actions. Please donate what you can, or subscribe (see below). Welcome to the summer issue of Whisper n Thunder. We are excited as we post this third issue and hope you'll enjoy the wide variety of articles, poetry, stories, event coverage, children's pages & more.  Our issues come out quarterly, so we hope you'll have relaxed time over the coming weeks to read the wide variety of work from our amazing team of authors, photographers and artists. WnT posts news related items on a regular basis - please check back periodically. Updates are noted in red on this page, as you can see above.

We ask that you subscribe if you can. For $25 you not only get 4 outstanding issues this year, you will also help fund the Winds Scholarship for Native students. This past June Jaclyn Roessel, Navajo, Arizona State University graduate student, was chosen as our first Winds Scholar. See News n Updates for more about Jaclyn.
